Project Viridian - Day 4
Quick skull study I did in the hour before my painting class to help me get a better grasp of how to actually paint the damn thing.

For this assignment we had to continue painting with our limited palette (Cobalt, Raw Sienna, Black, White), but we were allowed to use colors however we wished. However, the limitation this one was to the following styles:
1) Stippling - (I actually didn’t do fine stippling like I was supposed to, but I didn’t have a small brush at the time.)
2) Contour Painting - Brush strokes have to follow the curves of the objects
3) Alla Prima - Means wet-on-wet painting where you mix the colors right on the canvas.
4) Expressive - Big, broad brushstrokes!

For this assignment we had a limited palette of Cobalt, Raw Sienna, Black, and White. The limitations were as follows:
1) Only use Cool colors. (Mixes of Cobalt, White, Black.)
2) Only use Warm colors. (Mixes of Raw Sienna, White, Black.)
3) Light toned areas painted using Cool colors and dark areas with Warm colors.
4) Light toned areas painted using Warm colors and dark areas with Cool colors.

This is the second painting I did in class. It’s really not that great with the exception that I really like the tape on top of the box on the right side haha.

Project Viridian - Day 3
Actually posting to the correct blog this time! Drew this today between classes. Self portrait of my hand - it was actually kind of tough to keep it in the same position the whole time and still sketch with my main hand. Not to great really, but hey, gotta start somewhere, and hands are pretty tough to draw anyways. -.-
Project Viridian - Day 2
Still life using charcoal. Actually my first time trying to shade and draw with charcoal. I think it turned out decent except FUCK GRAPES. ;_; I need charcoal pencils instead of sticks for that kind of detail really.

Project Viridian - Day 1
Started some crappy concept art and ideas for gameplay. Also worked on getting a Design Doc wiki going and tinkered a little with Flixel some more. I’m almost considering using Unity again for the scope of this project since I think Flixel will have issues with some of the things I want to do (Namely displaying rotated images and such…).

Acoustic Music Tracks
Just a few old songs I decided to record spur of the moment. “Alright” and “Park Song” are basically finished, but “Balloon Ride” is a major WIP.
Working on a new song and I think I’m actually effectively using the LSDJ cartridge along with my guitar for once. ^_^ Kinda hard to hear it all that well with my crappy camera mic, but I think it’s in a decent place for a couple hours of work.
